Laughter may not come back right away, but it is very healing. That is why I lead a therapeutic laughter group or laughing for no reason - fake laughter. It does not have to be authentic for the brain to register it as laughter and begin to release chemicals to boost the immune system, help reduce stress, allow both lobes of the brain to be used (which improves memory function) Just allow the laughter to come when it does and try to have on funny shows instead of true crime, politics, etc. I hope this helps a bit to explain the value of laughter when grieving and how to access it when the tears flow and not the laughs. Blessings to you....Nancy
