Thanks Steve,  especially for understanding that what I really need right now is people who are willing to share my pain.   I am deeply sorry for your loss as well.  There is a little store at the hospital where I work, and every time I go in, I see a bunny that would have been awesome in an Easter basket for him, and before I can catch myself, for a brief second, I think, "that would be PERFECT to put in his Easter basket."  It's just a millisecond impulse. Then it's all I can do to keep from bursting into tears in the middle of the store.

Be brave, Steve. You will meet again one day.

Steve, I am so sorry for your loss.  I can identify with your pain but unfortunately I don't know how to help you.  My life partner of 30 yrs. past away Aug. 1st and I can't even help myself, sometimes I just don't want to, if that makes sense.  I can tell you this your life partner will always be with you, you will feel his presence, and he will send you little signs to give you reassurance and peace. I can appreciate your shock and probably your complete sadness because you didn't get to say goodbye, I guessing that would be extremely difficult.  Please accept my sympathy.  If you ever want to talk we are all here for you.
