Lose of a Brother

On August 8th, 2017 I lose my youngest brother to a Drunk Driver. This year on Aug 8th, 2018 mark a 1 year anniversary without him being with us. My brother died at the age of 20. His birthday was on August 9th. When he passed away on us on August 8th, 2017 he took a major lose and pain and hurting. It hard to now that he he gone. My brother celebrate his 22 birthday without us being there and it was very hard to cope and understand. It hard to understand and try to wonder wat he left or why…

Travis,Welcome to Legacy and so sorry for your loss of your brother.And to add to your grief for his birthday to have been the very next day.The grief is overwhelming,I know because I lost my brother, my only sibling in a drowning May 28,2014.And I also know about the questions,the never ending questions that invade my mind at any time of day.My brother would have been 55 in June,instead we get a cake and make a wish.....trying to accept,don't know if I can accept that my brother is no longer here.Hoping you find the support you seek here in our group.There is an organization that's statewide,they have monthly meetings,you can check on internet,may be they can be of assistance to you .."The Compassionate Friends", for Parents,Grandparents and Siblings.
