In memory of mom

When friends and family faced tough times, my mom knew just what to do. She was a master at doling out comfort and her willingness to listen bonded many friendships. But it was her prowess as a baker that forged relationships. Whether someone was just home from the hospital or grieving a loss, my mom paid a visit, always with something baked from her kitchen.

remebering my daughter

I had a memorable Mother's Day in 1996. My daughter, Julia had died in January of that year. But a friend of mine, Chris, called to see how I was doing. Chris's son had died a few years ago. So, she knew my pain. We talked, shared and cried about our deceased children. I have learned to reach out and comfort others who are grieving. Giving comfort to others in a time of tears makes helps ease my own pain.

my dear best friends

Results for 'i would like to share, i lost my sister and brother within 3months and i still have my mom, i can't get past this loss. I love them so much they were left and right arm. It was 2 years ago, but it like happen today in my world.' (0)

Journaling Grief

I have not been able, no i have been able just not willing to just break down & weep my heart away. I catch myself driving & suddenly tears fill my eyes i stuggle to hold the whine muffled voice from sounding out, shake my head wipe the tears & try to tell myself to think of something happy, she always said dont be a sad sack think of happy things smile, smile at someone you like, now.. smile at someone you dont like, are you smiling yet she`d say? are you?
