We will be going on 9 months on Jan. 8th since I lost my husband to a drugged driver. Sometimes I get so lonesome not only because most the time I am home alone but I miss his voice and seeing him look over at me, I miss his smile, I miss knowing that he is next to me in the bed. So many other people still have kids at home, I am alone.

On August !st 2016, my son Staff Sgt Scott Harmeyer committed suicide. He served 2 tours in Afghanistan. He received the metal of valor and 2 purple hearts. Scott served his country with bravery, honor and valor. He was a dedicated soldier who would of given his own life for any soldier on the battlefield. When Scott got home from the first tour, He called me to say Hi. As we were talking I kept hearing Thanks Harmeyer . I asked my son who was talking to him. Scott said " My platoon's…

Greetings my fellow Christian brothers and sisters,
I love to speak the truth and I have very serious questions that I think many believers would like to know the answer to. Even Jesus said " It you are sick go to a physician." (Matthew 9:12) Many folks do not do something until its too late. Recognize depression and confide in someone.…

My mother was a wise woman. She always said, “Something good comes out of everything.”
How she could come to that conclusion following my father’s death was puzzling. My mom was only 46 when she was widowed with four children. She raised us and sent us to college during an era when women did not work outside the home, and…

My name is Veronica Droser and I am from Boston, Massachusetts. In January 2011 my dad passed away very suddenly. He had a heart attack in our basement on the morning I was due to start work at my new job. My family has a motto which is “there are no problems, only solutions,” and therefore I have used my experience with my dad’s death as a…

What’s not to like about the holidays? The vibrant colors, favorite foods, visits with loved ones, opportunities to reminisce, and wonderful smells of the season. Holidays are full of tradition, packed with memories, and bring so much pleasure. For all these reasons, holidays can be a minefield for the bereaved, leaving them feeling sad, left out, and lonely.
Is there…
