My son was 28, married with children and was killed in a chemical plant explosion. The explosion was Sept. 23, 2008 and he passed away Oct 17, 2008. He was given just a few hours to live but her made it almost a month. He was 97% burned, 3rd degree. I am having a difficult time with the loss.

I appreciate your response. I am Baptist and do get support from my church. It is just so hard to realize that he is gone. He is in a better place and someday we will meet again.

Ms. Williams
I am sorry to hear of your loss, and even though it was just a short time ago, I can only imagine the pain that you must still feel. The death of a child has been described as "the ultimate loss" "the most devastating death". Parents expect to look after their children, and keep them safe. When a child dies, it's as if the rug has been pulled from underneath them.
In times like these, many have found it comforting to hear what the God of all Comfort says. Isaiah 25:8 says " He will swallow up death forever, and the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will certainly wipe the tears from all faces." When Jesus was here on earth, he showed us on a small scale how this would be done.
At John 5:28,29 Jesus said "Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out." By means of the resurrection Jesus showed that soon those loved ones we have lost in death will live again.
God has promised to restore Paradise on this earth according to Matthew 6:9,10. In the restored paradise the human family will have the prospect of enjoying life without end, free from all sickness, disease and tragedy. Revelation 21:4.
