Please help. My mom lost her long battle with Alzheimers a few days ago. We were extremely close before and during.

Now my father (whom I was also close to) is showing extreme anger to me. This includes yelling, not allowing me to help with the funeral plans and idealizing a daughter-in-law who was not close to Mom in later years.

Why is he turning against me at a time like this? I've made it plain I don't want to do anything he doesn't want me to do but he blew up when I offered to buy cups, plates, etc for the after funeral wake.

Anyone else experienced this? It hurts almost as much as my mom dying. He's not doing it to my brothers, just me. I was the only one who saw her regularly. She was my best friend as well as my mom.
