My brother Adam was born June 29, 1990. He was a talented musician, smart, and loving son, brother, and uncle. May 20, 2012 he took his own life. He has suffered from a severe mental illness since he was 17. My family is in ruins and have to try have cope with this horrific tragedy. My son who just turned 2 two days before it happened and my niece who turned 3 in Jan. will never know their uncle. My parents are struggling everyday. Just would be nice to talk to someone who can relat. This is still new and it's been pretty tough to swollow.

Thank you ladies, I haven't been on this site in forever. We just had his 3 year anniversary of his passing may 20. This has been a long journey to even get to this point, to celebrate his birthday every year at his grave site. No one can prepare you enough to lose someone this close to you. I will go through the majority of my life without him and I can't cope with that. Feel free to email me anytime at Thank you for your support

I just saw your brothers picture on the Thomas Dale Remembrance page.  I am so sorry for your families loss.  I lost my mother in 2006 when she took her life as well.  My son Graduated from Thomas Dale High School and was a year younger than your brother and I cant imagine losing him.  My heart goes out to you and your family.  It is hard on everyone that is left behind.  I hope you will focus on the memories of the happy times with your brother.  I do not think of my moms mental illness during the last year of her life, I focus on the loving, caring beautiful mom that she was and even though I miss her everyday  I keep the happy memories with me.  I have a strong faith in God and I believe I will see her again in heaven.  God Bless you and your entire family.

Hi there,

I got your email, and wrote a really LONG one back, and hit a button and it disappeared!!   Just so you know, I'm here for you and your family.

I will rewrite the email in a little while okay?  I know how you feel honey, and you have a friend in me on here.

Sending hugs to you...if I could reach through the computer, I'd give you all a big bear hug.  I know you hurt so much.  Please keep in touch.

Your friend in Grief,

Phyllis..Chads' Mom
