Lost my Dad

My father just passed away on Sept. 6, 2010, with his wife, children and grandchildren present. He was the BEST!! He was our rock and not sure how we will get along without him. He was diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis about 18 months ago and quickly deteriorated. It was heart wrenching to watch the decline. The one comment he always made and which was part of his funeral was "I've had a Wonderful Life!" If it can be said that the funeral was beautiful it was. What a tribute to a great man who loved life and his faith. The priest who said the funeral mass personally knew him, so I think that made a huge difference. Thank goodness they had four children. As long as I stay somewhat busy I seem to be fine, but usually late at night has been the roughest. Sorry to ramble on. Have a good evening everyone.
