Hello,
My name is Stephen H. and I recently lost my husband, Michael. He passed away on January 29, 2018, at the age of 47 years after battling with alcoholism. My husband was introduced to and enjoyed clogging for many years. He transitioned from perfumer to instructor in which he taught many students the enjoyment and love of clogging. Michael, along with fellow performers, had the honor and opportunity to perform at the Grand Ole Opry, Nashville, TN. Alongside and beyond clogging, Michael enjoyed painting, traveling, meeting new people, spending time with family and friends, helping others, and enjoying life to its fullest. He was a remarkable man and husband – selfless, and loving and caring with a heart of gold. Michael, most of all, enjoyed spending lots of time with his me, his husband - May 4, 2013. In addition to the aforementioned interests and passions, Michael had a love for learning, in and out of the classroom.
Michael attended Southern New Hampshire University, Manchester, NH., to pursue higher education from an Associate degree to Masters. His most recent endeavor was as an online graduate student. Michael graduated Sunday, May 14, 2017 with the degree of Master of Science in Marketing. He was a member of Phi theta Kappa Honor Society.
There are no words to describe how my heart aches these days. I understand the grieving process will play out...I do want to embrace very emotion to come. I have embraced what I have experienced, thus far. Michael was my rock, my love, my best friend, my confidant, my breathe. I do not like the feeling that I am experiencing these days! I do not wish "membership" in being a widow though death is a part of the life cycle.
Thank you for reading, and kind thoughts/words.
Best,
Stephen
