Dear Christy,

I just read your response post & that too sounds very similar to my situation. It really was Larry & I against the world & we felt like winners. He said repeatedly that this past year was his best ever and honestly our last week together was so great & even the last night was spent laughing & smiling- so much love! He always said I was his soul mate & I would be so sarcastic & tell him how lame & 70s that saying was. He was so right! I feel so lost without him as if truely he was a part of my very soul. I hurt for you knowing- yes, KNOWING how you feel. The best I can offer you are my prayers on your behalf for peace, comfort & for God to sustain you in the days, weeks & years ahead.

Dear Christy,
Please accept my heartfelt condolences. It hasn't even been 2 wks, so you are certainly still in shock. It's a terrible thing that you & the children are going through and I can relate all to well. I don’t want to put that on you though, just know you are not alone. You mentioned you are new to ATL. – do you have other family here? I know you need the support of people you trust and having loved ones around is especially nice. Losing a loved one is always hard but more so if they were young, appeared healthy, it was a sudden/unexpected death, as was the case for your husband. Please do not take offense if you are not a Christian, but If you are, I advice the sooner you are willing to “let go, let God” the better you will feel. I can’t tell you how to do this other than to pray, search your bible & just believe that God loves us and promises to provide for widows and be a father to the fatherless. Again & again I find scripture where God refers to the treatment of widows (1Timothy4), so He is aware of our suffering & says that He will provide us with peace that surpasses all understanding & that all tears shed … will turn to joy in the everlasting. Each day I pray for God to sustain me & bless my efforts (as feeble as they may be). I wish you well with each new day. Hugs~ Christy
