Lacey had been ill for years, but ... she was able to live a life full of joy & adventure of a 'normal' kiddo. Attending public school until 2006, she just got too ill to make it everyday. After kidney transplant & various other illnesses Lacey began attending school at The Childrens Hospital in Aurora Colorado. So many many gift… Continue

I'm so sorry for you lost your precious Lacey! I lost my 14 year old daughter in April 2008. The second year has been worst for me. I think the first year is filled with such shock that deep down I still prayed I was only dreaming. I agree with what you said. We have to stay in the moment or life is just too overwhelming. What has helped me is to try not to worry about the future, but rather just live for today. Love those around you and talk about how you feel. I want to give up too....but I know there are those that love me and need me. When I feel like crying, I cry. The pain is horrible and when I can't bear it any longer I cry out to
God for comfort. He has truly just carried me many days and nights. I find comfort knowing that I will see my daughter again. It still hurts beyond belief though............

Edi, I'm so sorry for your loss. I lost my darling daughter, Ashley, Dec. 29, 2009. I know your pain. I feel like I can't go on without her. She was 22 and my best friend.

Hi Edi. I saw your post reaching out. I'm not extremely tech savvy, but I found you. You have my deepest sympathy. I lost my 32 year old son just last Sunday. I don't think it matters if you lost a son or daughter, young or old, to illness, accident, or by their own hand, just today or 20 years ago - it is an unimaginable pain. Please know that you are NOT ALONE. We are all here to support each other.

Dear Edi,
Today I asked God to help you with the burdens you must bear. If he doesn't remove your burdens, I pray he’ll carry them for you. So, be encouraged, he's promised to do this. I also ask God to bless you, and to meet your every need. It’s been about 280 days since Lacey fell asleep in death and I know you think about her every day. I'm sorry to read your hearts still ache with sadness I will keep you in my prayers. Your tears are not unnoticed by the Creator of Life. Your Daughters, love will always be with you it is a gift that is yours to keep. May the thought that others will be here for you, help to ease your sorrow and give you courage, hope, and strength to continue to cope. . Edi, soon God will actually swallow up death forever, and the Sovereign Lord will certainly wipe the tears from all faces. (Isaiah25:8) Kathy
