God bless you also. I use to take off all my jewerly before I went to bed,,, but since my husband has passed on,,, I sleep with my wedding ring and two bracelets he gave me. I like you know we must go on and that what our spouses would want,,,and how diffcult it is for us too. In my heart I still feel married too. I sleep on my side and my granddaughters take turns sleeping on his side. They feel how much I hurt and try their best to comfort me. If it wasn't for family and friends,, I don't think I would make it. Thanks for writing back,,, I'm glad I have found a friend in you,,,someone woh knows how I feel. Best of luck to you,Eileen
I know what you mean about trying to keep busy to hold off the pain. But I do believe we can go on, without ever forgetting our True Love. I get up and go to work every day, and do what I need to do for our children, but I also wear his wedding ring next to mine, and have no plans to take it off. Still married in my heart, still sleeping on half the bed. God bless you, Eileen. Wendela
God bless you, Eileen, I am saying a prayer for you today. This was my first Thanksgiving without my David also, so I know something about your pain. He was 54 and died suddenly on 9/2/09, one month before our 27th wedding anniversary. We all got through Thanksgiving, and we will get through Christmas as well, with the grace of God. Don't push yourself at work. I'm taking a day off today myself; sometimes grieving is just so exhausting, as you know. God bless you, and God bless us all and give us strength.
