Hi Marilyn...I am so sorry for your loss. I lost my wife last month to heart failure. She and I were married 5 years ago. She had already been taking pills for anxiety and then, she found she had congestive heart failure. She seemed to give up, wouldn't exercise or eat right and got very depressed. In March she had open-heart surgery to replace two valves, came out much better, but in rehab, she suddenly took a turn and died. I didn't even get to say goodbye.

Every day is weird, like Groundhog Day. I wake up and look for her but I know she's not there. The only good thing about this is that it's drawn me close to the Lord, and hopefully allowed me to encourage others that God's in control, and we must seek Him and trust that His timing is perfect. We all have our days numbered. So if that is any consolation, I hope and pray that you take each day, seek the Lord with all your heart, give up your anxiety to Him, and let one day at a time go. There are many who are going through this, and you are not alone. Feel free to touch base with me or anyone else here. Do you have pets, relatives, friends? They really have been a blessing for me.
